Relying on AI to do the heavy lifting for your personal brand content is frankly a waste of time if you haven’t shared any thoughts and insights about your industry, the different perspectives or latest updates.
If you haven’t written articles or posts which reflect your professional expertise and experience, or you haven’t spoken on webinars and podcasts, then how is AI going to find out about you to demonstrate your personal brand?
There’s been a lot said recently about AI slop.
I understand why a machine doing the ‘thinking’ and writing for people is extremely appealing. As a former teacher, there are so many people I’ve seen who struggled with writing their own ideas. They got there in the end with my support, and they were so chuffed with themselves when they did.
AI will churn out generic and unoriginal copy if you let it do your thinking for you.
If you’re using a tool to produce content for the sake of posting, you’re simply adding to the slop.
You have skills, knowledge and expertise which you deliver in your unique and individual way. When you talk in person about what you offer your ideal client, you do it with enthusiasm and passion.
How can you translate all your thoughts and ideas into written content that is authentic and isn’t painstaking for you to produce?
Don’t let the way you use AI damage your reputation.
Input your own perspectives and ideas and use the machine tools thoughtfully to draft and edit.
It’s your human personal brand after all.
And whilst I’m here, I know many will see them as a bit of fun, but avoid doing any of those trends like the recent caricature cartoon one!
You don’t have to resort to those types of posts to get your personal brand seen, known and remembered by the people who will buy from you.
